John Templeton

John Templeton – President & Founder

John began working in peripheral sales and leasing in 1979. After working for a peripheral manufacturer for 15 years he decided to branch out on his own and founded Millennium Technologies in 1995. He recognized a growing interest in the new wireless handheld text based computers with narrow band radios and focused the new company on that emerging technology. Today, wireless data collection is still the main focus supplemented by bar code printing and RFID technologies. Millennium is proud to represent “best of breed” products from Psion Teklogix, Motorola/Symbol, Intermec, LXE, Printronix, Alien, Cisco, and others. John is very proud of the fact that the company has grown to a staff of 10 employees and no one has ever left. Millennium provides excellent products and service at a fair price. The customers are all very loyal and long term; they understand the value that Millennium brings to the table. Some customers even pre-date the company and have been doing business with John and Lisa for nearly 30 years.

John has a terrific wife Cynthia, a son Darren who is working on his MBA at Rutgers University and a daughter Arianne who is working toward a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) at Ithaca College. His hobbies are racquetball, tennis, scuba diving, and skiing.

Thanks for visiting the website. Millennium looks forward to serving you.

What We Do

We provide “Best of Breed” hardware and hardware management solutions and services. We maintain vendor service contracts by serial number so that you don’t have to. We provide on-site services such as wireless site surveys, cabling, installation, and training. We maintain excellent vendor relationships with all manufacturers so that you have a high level of exposure through us with the manufacturer. We strive to achieve the highest certification level available from all manufacturers so that our technicians can resolve even the most complex problem that you may encounter. We help you to run your business more effectively and efficiently through the use of technology that we provide and support.

How We Do It

We offer single source solutions to our customers. When we are contracted to implement a DC infrastructure we start with a professional site survey followed by network infrastructure selection, RF handheld and vehicle mount selection, barcode label printer selection and packing station options. We design the complete hardware requirement model and provide all of the hardware. We then assist the customer with designing a location scheme and provide the location labels and signage. Once all of the necessary equipment is received, we install all equipment and train the users. On completion of the project we arrange for service contracts on all equipment and then manage those various contracts for our customers on a long term basis. We also offer leasing options as an alternative to purchase of equipment.

Why Choose Us

Millennium is an experienced technology partner that advises our clients in implementing mobile computing solutions that best fit their environment whether they are apparel, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, ports, cold storage, chemical, food or beverage. Our customers know that combining the expertise of our sales people with the extensive product knowledge of our certified technical team is a winning strategy.
